Blackberry says China's TCL to make BlackBerry-branded



BlackBerry announced that it will be the Chinese company TCL Communication Technology Holdings which will produce and sell BlackBerry phones worldwide and marks the first licensing agreement from the Canadian manufacturer.

Phones produced by TCL, the company which produces the Alcatel phones will be equipped with safety BlackBerry software, the company said. This news comes at a time when the BlackBerry is turning its attention to a more profitable industry, the software after kneeling before Apple and Samsung. During September the company had hinted that production of BlackBerry phones will leave here a third party and a month later DTEK60 brought on sale, the fruit of cooperation with TCL. The new agreement gives TCL the right to produce and sell BlackBerry phones in all countries of the world except for India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh and Indonesia who are the biggest markets BlackBerry. Also in September it signed a contract with BB BlackBerry Merah Putih company which will produce phones with this brand in Indonesia. The company's revenues were US $ 156 million last quarter, falling by another 166 million dollar was the second quarter of the year. Equipment division generated revenue of $ 105 million.
